Inauguration
of
the Headquarters
of
African Knowledge Holders in Bamako
In Bamako in Mali, a 5-story building, among the most
imposing in Bamako, built on an area of 500 m², is now the pride of
true holders of African occult knowledge
This Thursday, February 8,
the city of Bamako attracted all attention with a grandiose and
historic event for Africa: the inauguration of the Headquarters of
African Knowledge Holders. This new establishment, which aims to
promote and celebrate African knowledge and traditions, was officially
opened during a magnificent ceremony which brought together
dignitaries, intellectuals and enthusiasts of African culture.
For the
occasion, the President of Mali delivered a moving speech on the
importance of reserving and promoting ancestral African knowledge. He
stressed that the Headquarters of African Knowledge Holders will serve
as a meeting and exchange place for researchers, artists and teachers
who wish to contribute to the influence of African culture in the world.
This is obviously
a moral duty for the former colonial powers. It also marks recognition
of past wrongs and allows concrete steps to be taken now to right the
injustices committed. Through restitution, the countries having removed
these works of art from
their continent of origin recognize that African people are the
rightful owners of their cultural heritage and that their history must
be celebrated and protected.
The guests of honor had the opportunity to visit
the different spaces of the headquarters which notably houses a library
rich in ancient works, exhibition rooms dedicated to traditional
African crafts and conference spaces for intellectual debates. Artistic
performances, organized to celebrate this inauguration, perfectly
highlighted the diversity of African cultural expressions.
Professor Mamadou Babou Niang, president of the Network of African
Occult Knowledge Holders and supreme leader of African magic, but also
initiator and donor for the creation of the Headquarters of African
Knowledge Holders, expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed
to the culmination of this ambitious project. He affirmed that this
establishment symbolizes a firm commitment to the preservation and
transmission of African cultural heritage for future generations.
The headquarters'
mission is: to conserve and protect the knowledge, traditions and
ancestral practices specific to Africa so that they are not
neither forgotten nor lost, to celebrate and honor African knowledge.
It will help strengthen the cultural identity of African communities
and promote a sense of pride and belonging.
This
inauguration therefore marks the beginning of a new era of promoting
intellectual and artistic excellence in Africa. The event will be
remembered as a symbol of pride and unity for all lovers of African
knowledge.
